Hi, I’m Lori, owner of Lori’s Leashes, Inc. Bringing this dog-walking business to life has been an incredible journey, transforming a lifelong passion into a daily reality that never feels like work.

My love for animals began when I was a young girl and has only grown as I’ve dedicated myself to learning everything I can about the amazing creatures we work with. Before launching this business, I spent eleven years in education. While I valued that time, I knew my true calling was elsewhere. I wanted to care for animals and support people who, like my former self, work long hours and want to ensure their "fur babies" receive the attention they deserve.

The inspiration for Lori’s Leashes came from my own dog, Lola. While she enjoyed her daycare, I realized how much it meant to me to receive those occasional update photos of her having a blast. I knew I could provide that same peace of mind to other owners while helping their pets truly thrive.

Every aspect of Lori’s Leashes—from our core values to the client experience—is designed to stand out. This isn’t just an average dog-walking company; it is a premium experience built on trust and intuition.

It has now been eight years since we opened, and the growth has been incredible. My partner, Kimberly, joined the team originally as a dog handler. Her extensive knowledge made her the perfect partner to help lead our expansion. Today, Kim manages our Mahopac and Yorktown teams, while I oversee operations in Carmel and Brewster. Together, we lead a dedicated team that consistently goes the extra mile.
